I got my bandage off a couple of weeks ago but I'm still recovering. It looks like my leg has a zipper. I can go on short walks but I was jumping on and off the couch while my mom made dinner so I was put into my pen for safety. I'm getting better. Another month to go.

Luxating Patella

Hey everone! I was having a good summer until I blew out my knee cap. Actually, I have floating knee caps and one of them popped out. I was gimping around and not getting any better. So...I had patellar fixation and grooving.

This is what I look like now. Luckily, I don't need a cast and the bandage comes off after 5 days. The bad news is I can't run around for 8 weeks. My mom and dad have to carry me everywhere. I could get used to that! Big Sissy is coming over next week to help puppysit me because my dad is going out of town. That will be fun. She's nice to me.

Woohoo!! I had a great Christmas. My big sisters got me more toys to chew on. My mommy got a fancy new DSLR camera so she can take more pictures of me. This is the first picture she took yesterday morning. The string in my mouth is what I use to troll for kitties. I run around the room with it and the cats try to catch it. Once I hook a cat I run around in circles and hog tie them. What fun!

We had some excitement last night. A big explosion and lots and lots of sirens. My dad took me out to investigate.

This is what we saw. Something's burning behind the church.

We got to climb a fence and cross a field to get here. Couldn't see what was burning but it was exciting! Lots of people were looking so I got to say 'hi' to everyone.

On the walk back home there was still a cloud of smoke over our neighborhood. It was pretty cool. I hope nobody was hurt in the fire but it was exciting to see all the firetrucks.

It's been raining all weekend here in Ohio. Before the rain got here my mom took me down to the bike path for a long walk. I really like the path because it's always changing even from week to week. The leaves, the flowers, the river and lots of other dogs to sniff.

Here's the spillway where lots of junk gets stuck. Sometimes people! I don't like water so I've never been in. I don't even like going out in the rain.

Since the rain started I've been stuck inside. Luckily, mom and dad are willing to play with me. I try playing with the cats but they just spit and hiss. Mom said we could get another Boston once the cat population decreases. Hmmm...I wonder. I went to the pet store a few days ago and the guy working there said he had five Bostons. Five! At what point does one need therapy?

Looking back on 2006...
A good friend was lost this year. Abby was my dad's first dog. She passed last summer. Abby was a loving, peaceful dog. I have big paws to fill.

Then my parents got me. This is the day I was adopted. My ears were floppy back then. I hope all my friends have a wonderful new year full of walks, treats and belly scratches.

Here's my official Holiday picture. It went out on my Christmas cards. You can see how pleased I am sharing the photo with Wally.
My big sister was home from college where she's learning to be a dentist. I'm hoping that I can work for her as a dental tech. I'm demonstrating my teeth cleaning technique to her. I think she likes me.
Santa brought me an Octocuz. It's my new favorite cuz. Squeak! My dad likes it because I can't roll it under the coffee table and lose it. I don't know why that makes a difference because if I do lose a toy I just scratch on the table and grunt and someone will get up off the couch and get it for me. That works great for me but I think my dad is lazy and just wants to sit on the couch. He should thank me because I think he's getting fat and he needs the exercise.

Road Trip...

to Louisville this weekend. I had to navigate so my dad wouldn't get lost. It was exciting to see all the new sights. The best part about it was we left the kitties at home! And our friends have a nice dog. My new pal is Danny. He let me chase him and jump on him and chew on his ear! He was fun!
They also have a little human about my size. He makes a lot of noise for someone so small. My mom thinks he's cute but I think I'm way cuter. Luckily, we didn't take him home with us.

I'm so excited! Roadtrip to Petsmart. There's so much to smell and other dogs to see. I hop into Mom's lap and off we go.

So I start checking out new collars and some guy comes up and says we can't take pictures. Grrrr. I wanted to share my advetures but they wouldn't let me. Oh, well. I did get a new toy and Mom bought some things for the cats. Why do they get stuff? They didn't even come with us. They don't even care. Worthless kitties. They're not even any good as chew toys. Why does Mom like them so much?

It's Sunday morning. My day to relax. My Dad gets up early, feeds the cats and makes coffee. Me and Mom sleep in. I let my Mom and Dad sleep with me because I have the biggest bed and they cry all night if I put them in their crate. They keep me warm, too.
